Educational Document or Certificate Attestation from Embassy or Consulate, New Delhi
Process 01: Main Process
The Educational Certificates or Documents issued from Indian Schools, Colleges, Universities or various other sources of educational Institutes could be attested from Embassy or Consulate as per the following steps,
1. Firstly the Educational Certificate or Document will be attested by the State Level Attestation Department / General Administrative Department (GAD) / Higher Education Department (HED) / Regional Attestation Center (RAC) e. i. the Certificate or Document will be attested from the Indian State’s Attestation Department from where it has been issued. For Example, if a Degree Certificate has been issued from Calcutta University, then it will be attested by the Regional Attestation Center (RAC), Kolkata. On the other hand, if the Degree Certificate has been issued from Nagpur University, then the Degree Certificate will be attested by the Higher Education Department (HED)
2. After completion the above said process the Educational Certificate or Document will be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India.
3. Finally the Educational Certificate or Document will be attested by the Embassy or Consulate present in India.
Note:
a. To complete the above said process will take around 30 working days. The time frame could differ from state to state as well as the title of the document and the name of the University from where the Certificate or Document has been issued.
b. Original Educational Document or Certificate, which to be attested, is required.
c. Photocopy of mark sheets (all years) is required.
d. Photocopy of Passport (1st and last page) of document or certificate holder is required.
e. Two recent color passport size photograph of document or certificate holder is required.
f. Photocopy of job offer letter is required.
g. The total charges/fees/rates/cost upto completion of Embassy or Consulate attestation could differ from the type of Certificate or Documents as we’ll as the state of origin in India.
Process 02: Alternate Process
Educational Certificate Attestation from Embassy, New Delhi
The Educational Certificates or Documents issued from Indian Schools, Colleges, Universities or various other sources of educational Institutes could be legalized from Embassy or Consulate as per the following steps which is the alternate, genuine and most prestigious attestation process practiced in India since long time
1. Firstly the Educational Certificate or Document will be attested by the Home Department, Mumbai (Mumbai Mantralaya Attestation).
2. After completion the above said process the Educational Certificate or Document will be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India.
3. Finally the Educational Certificate or Document will be legalized by the Embassy or Consulate present in India.
Note:
a. To complete the above said process will take around 10 working days.
b. Original Educational Document or Certificate which to be legalized is required.
c. Photocopy of Passport (1st and last page) of document or certificate holder is required.

Non-Educational Document or Certificate Legalization from Embassy or Consulate, New Delhi
1. Firstly the Non-Educational Certificate or Document will be attested by the State Level Attestation Department / General Administrative Department (GAD) / Regional Attestation Center (RAC) e. i. the non-educational Certificate or Document will be attested from the Indian State’s Attestation Department from where it has been issued. For Example, if a Marriage or Birth Certificate has been issued from Lucknow Municipality, then it will be attested by the Regional Attestation Center (RAC), Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, if the Marriage Certificate has been issued from Mumbai Municipality, then the Marriage Certificate will be attested by the Home Department.
2. After completion the above said process the Non-Educational Certificate or Document will be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India.
3. Finally the Non-Educational Certificate or Document will be attested by the Embassy or Consulate present in India.

Main Process
The Commercial Certificates or Documents issued from any Indian states could be legalized from Embassy or Consulate as per the following steps
1. Firstly the Commercial Certificate or Document will be attested by the Chambers of Commerce.
2. After completion the above said process the Commercial Certificate or Document will be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India.
3. Finally the Commercial Certificate or Document will be legalized by the Embassy or Consulate present in India.
Note:
a. To complete the above said process will take around 10 working days.
b. Original Commercial Document or Certificate, which to be attested, is required.
c. A covering letter on the company’s letter head with duly stamped and signed by the Authorized signatory of the company is required and the same to be saluted "To, The Embassy, New Delhi" stating the reason of attestation as well as the name of the Certificate or Documents, which to be attested.
