Attestation vs Apostille: What is the Difference?

One of the most common questions we hear is: "Do I need attestation or an apostille?" The answer depends entirely on your destination country.

Apostille

If your destination country is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention - such as the USA, UK, or most of Europe - a single MEA apostille certificate is generally sufficient.

Attestation

If your destination country is not a Hague member - such as the UAE, Qatar or Saudi Arabia - your document typically needs MEA attestation followed by embassy attestation from that country's embassy in India.
